I’ve been with my new host family for almost a week now, and it’s actually great! The kids are easy to look after, and I get more things like a navigo and cell phone. I have to do more housework than before, but it’s not bad at all. I’m really happy here! I’m so glad that I switched.
My new home is in the 18th, or Montmartre. I live in front of the Sacre Coeur and the Moulin Rouge is a 10 minute walk away! The area is a little iffy at night, so I have to be careful. I haven’t had any problems so far. The only problem in my life right now is that I’m so poor!

bedroom! I live on the first floor of the apartment, so I live in still. I wish it was a studio but whatever, at least I live in Paris!

This is the view if you walk up my street for 1 minute. Amazing, non?

The family’s country house near Beauvais. I want there this weekend to get to know the kids better and it was okay. I was really bored and I spent the entire time watching after the children and not being paid for it, but it’s okay. I have to make some sacrifices sometimes. I won’t have to go again and now the parents feel like I’m a great fit for the family.
I’ve been doing a lot now that I live in Paris rather than the suburbs. I spend a lot of time around Montmartre and tonight I’m going to the 4th weekly wine drinking wednesday by the Seine! I love my wine picnics :) So relaxing!
Today is wednesday which means I take care of the kids all day, but it’s been really easy, I’m not stressed like I usually am. I brought them to their lessons and cooked them lunch and did some laundry. It all went by really smoothly. They took a short nap and are now reading/playing in their room, and they don’t really want to play with me which is cool because I have better things to do :) I have to pick up the youngest from cherche at 5:30 so until then I have no idea what I’ll do! It’s weird to have down time on wednesdays!!!
My boyfriend will be coming to visit me in 23 days (: We’re going to see Yann Tiersen in concert (he made the music in Amelie!!) (that reminds me… I have to get the tickets… ahhh so poor!) Anywho, my boyfriend is staying with me for 10 days. It’s going to be so great! Never would I have imagined seeing Paris with the person I love the most! I want to put a lock on Pont des Arts with him (: So romantic and cheesy!
